Together in Mission 2023
Sr. Luz Martinez emailed the above photos. She described how at St. Albert the Great, the benches in the yard are so dilapidated they sag. She also shared how the lunch tables are severely weathered from decades in direct sunlight—and how when it is hot, the students must lunch indoors for lack of shade and the surface temperature of the furniture.
Sr. Luz also included an example of her dream to build a sunshade over the lunch tables, which would better protect any new investment the school was to make. This is not possible on tuition alone, especially when most families are already on grants, financial aid, and scholarships. They are surviving but certainly not thriving. It brought to light the tangible impact of Together in Mission and the gift of your generosity.
This weekend, February 18–19, is commitment weekend, where we pledge how we can financially support Together in Mission over the next ten months. Please remember to bring your envelope to Mass or return it to the parish office by Feb. 20 to help us have a great start toward our goal! Thank you!
