Bon Appétit
It’s impossible to find a two-year-old rooster these days. Julia Child insists that’s the best chicken for coq au vin—a favourite in our home. “Julia” has returned to the small screen (HBO Max), and each Thursday for the past few weeks, we’ve been gleefully enjoying a new dramatic telling of her first season on public television.
I hope it’s not too much of a spoiler, but she concludes that season by confiding that we, the viewers have known all along how to master the art of French cooking: “All you have to do is plunge in.” And she continues, “that’s the key, not only to the kitchen, but to life itself.”
This Easter season has been a beautiful reminder that St. Monica is filled with loving disciples that just plunge in.
Fellowship, outreach, pastoral care, formation, and worship would only be possible with faith in God and faith in each other. We are serving and connecting in news ways. We are committed to all those longing to grow in their faith and who are gathering to worship wherever they are. None of this would be possible without the offertory gifts you provide. Your dedication to our mission of transforming the world continues to be the lifeblood that sustains our parish! Thank you for uniting as one body in Christ to lift those who need it most.
Thank you for bringing your tremendous gifts to this feast at the table of the Lord. Bon appétit!
